East Midlands HOC head to Stafford for breakfast
22 March 2017
Open a larger image in new windowSix bikes set out from Cherry Tree Services on a grey but fairly dry Sunday morning. A nice ride over to Castlewood Café on the A518 heading up towards Stafford. Breakfast took a while to arrive as it seemed that the slightly better than forecast weather had brought out a large number of bikes in the area, but most thought that it was worth the wait.

We had a gentle ride back through the Staffordshire countryside and then back into Derbyshire and back home.

Whether you are a member or just want to find out what's going on please go along to The Birch Tree, Bardon Road, Bardon Hill, Coalville LE67 1TD on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 7.30pm or join their Facebook page. Route home was via some lovely roads through Middle Wallop, Stockbridge, Sutton Scotney, Micheldever, Overton and Basingstoke. A good ride despite the odd bit of drizzle which didn't dampen anyone's spirits!

Kent HOC ride to the Custom Cafe... despite the weather
22 January 2017
Three of us braved the weather to visit the Custom Cafe on the A259 between Bexhill and Pevensey. This is a new location for us as we only heard about it on a flyer but it has been there for two years. The cafe is little more than a converted caravan but is in the grounds of a much larger premises which is undergoing full restoration and will become the Custom Cafe in a couple of months time. The 'owner' seems to be a young lady who is a Harley 883 rider who supports SERV. Food was reasonable but nothing special but facilities were hampered for her e.g. Frozen pipes etc. . We will revisit again later in the year when I expect things will have improved for her. Weather was surprisingly bright and warmish, with no ice. Thanks to Mike O for leading and Les M for attending.

Kent HOC meet at The Tudor Rose, Chestnut Street, Borden, Sittingbourne ME9 8BT on the 1st Monday and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 8pm. Everyone is welcome, whether you ride a Honda or not.
